Arpy - Ski resort facts
Seven km from Morgex, along the road for Colle San Carlo, is the splendid Arpy valley with its fir and larch forests, its crystal stream, its village with its stone houses, its eighteenth century chapel and its glorious mining past, traces of which can still be found throughout the area by theattentive observer. In the winter period, all of this serves as a cornice, to the tracks of the cross-countryski slope, that extends over various circuits, ranging from 2 to 7.5 km, and that hosts , regionaland national competitions on an annual basis. The start and arrival point is the Foyer de Fond, in the Arpy Hostel, in front of which skiers put on their skis and inside which are changing rooms, showers, a ski waxing room, a bar and a restaurant. Thought has also been given to children with an internal play area and an external area, dedicated to bob-sleighs and sledges.
